Joan Bailey
President
Joan Bailey, CTA, was born to work in the travel industry. Not only has she traveled extensively and planned any trip a traveler can dream of, she is the granddaughter of Carroll E. Hill, who founded the oldest travel agency in the Tampa Bay Area – Hill’s Travel Service, operating since 1930 in downtown St. Petersburg. During high school and college breaks, she worked at the agency and joined full-time after graduating from Wake Forest University. Today, she is the owner and president of the agency, with over 40 years of experience. Bailey and her husband are long-time St. Petersburg residents. They also own Savory Spice Shop, a great complement for food-focused travelers.

Having returned to the travel business after taking time off to raise children, I am excited to share my love for adventure with clients. Working at an agency that has been family owned for 90 years speaks to the dedication our office has to the travel business.
There is nothing quite like watching an idea form into a curated trip. I love helping clients bring their vision of what they hope a trip will be to life. And, the best compliment is when someone comes home relaxed and ready to go on a new adventure.

After graduation out of college, I immediately went to work in the travel industry. For over 30 years I have specialized in both leisure and corporate travel for individuals and groups. I have extensive experience working with groups and incentive travel, as well as luxury cruises and tours. My love of travel started as child, visiting family and friends in Scandinavia as well as throughout Europe and other parts of the world. Throughout my years of working in the travel industry, I have had the pleasure of sending clients to every corner of the world. I enjoy the research and the challenge of putting together the most wonderful trips for my clients.

As a kid, I was the one studying globes and memorizing capital cities just for fun. I’d trace road maps in the back seat of my grandparents’ car, amazed by how the world fit together. That curiosity never really left; it just shifted from books and maps to real experiences.
I’m new to the travel industry, but I bring that same energy and excitement to every trip I plan, helping clients experience the richness of the world with comfort and confidence. My professional background, from restaurant hospitality to managing commercial construction projects, has always centered around understanding people’s needs and delivering a personalized, detail-oriented experience.
